Parliamentary Year Opening 2026

On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, His Excellency Governor Ajamu G. Baly delivered his official address to the nation on the occasion of the Opening of the Parliamentary Year 2026/2027. In keeping with solemn tradition, this annual ceremony is held on the second Tuesday of September. Speaking on behalf of the Council of Ministers, the Governor outlined the government's vision, key priorities, and set forth the legislative agenda for the year ahead.
